CEA CAPA- Assistant Director of Academic Affairs

What You’ll Do:

  • Maintain quality of academic program delivery at the Dublin study center 

  • Assume joint responsibility for academic components of custom programming  

  • Oversee Direct Enroll students at other Dublin institutions 

  • Administer faculty contracts, class schedules, grades, and other academic areas 

  • Participate in the emergency phone rotation 

  • Contribute to the leadership of the overall study center by holding a position on the Dublin Management Team 

  • Lead academic orientation for incoming cohorts 

  • Advise students on academic issues, develop and oversee weekly academic support clinic.  

  • Manage enrolment and transcripts, and collaborate with US colleagues on these fronts. 

  • Support general program administration as needed. 

  • Co-manage student activities calendar. 

  • Prepare and write annual reports including periodic external reviews. 

  • Manage budgeting for class augmentation components including field studies. 

  • Organize and conduct faculty inductions. 

  • Arrange student academic accommodations. 

  • Manage academic disciplinary procedures. 

  • Support visiting US partner visits and other Marketing/IR efforts as needed. 

  • Support and incentivize student evaluation completion, ensuring high response rates. 

  • Support the creative and intentional integration of CEA CAPA Student Learning and Development Objectives (SLDOs) throughout the curriculum and co-curriculum. 

  • Oversee course creation and adherence to CEA CAPA Standards on Canvas each term. 

 

What Makes a Great Candidate:

  • Experienced academic administrator (6+ years) 

  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail 

  • Highly computer literate, with CRM + LMS experience 

  • Approachable and committed to student success 

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as a member of a small but dynamic team 

  • An interest and knowledge of experiential educational opportunities throughout the city of Dublin 

  • PhD strongly preferred 

  • Existing network in the higher education community in Dublin advantageous 

  • Experience working with US undergraduates preferred
